SolarEdge Firefighter Gateway

The Firefighter Gateway from SolarEdge is an advanced safety management solution designed to meet insurance regulations and assist emergency crews. This system can be installed to provide rapid shut-down of PV systems using the SafeDC™ feature, either manually with an emergency stop button or automatically via a fire alarm control panel. Voltage is automatically reduced to a safe level.

Maximum flexibility with two modes of operation

• In Manual Mode, the system can be manually shut down in non-emergency situations

• In Automatic Mode, shutdown occurs automatically when the fire alarm control panel is triggered.

  No external interaction is required. Once activated, the Firefighter Gateway signals to the SolarEdge Monitoring Platform that the solar PV system has been shut down, and an alert will be generated.
